Yuvraj congratulates sixer-Stuart on his performance in Ashes
IT IS a very common gesture for players to congratulate each other when one reaches a milestone or performs spectacularly well, irrespective of which team they belong to. So it isn't surprising that Stuart Broad is receiving congratulatory messages for his staggering performance in the ongoing Ashes series against Australia. One of the messages came from Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh.
Well, why does this stand out? If you recall, in the first edition of the T20 World Cup, India versus England, Yuvraj slammed six sixes in Broad's over. This was a first-of-its-kind, following a provocation from Andrew Flintoff for which Broad had to bear the brunt.
Since then it would have probably been a nightmare for Broad whenever they faced each other, as the talking point would be whether Yuvraj would repeat the feat. But after the spectacular performance which has left Board himself in shock, Yuvraj will be glad that he doesn't have to face him now, especially in England.
Broad is now the new nightmare that not only the Aussies, but most batsmen will have, after he hammered the Aussies. Australia was bowled out for 60 in their first innings of the fourth Test in the current Ashes series, with the fast bowler accounting for 8 of them conceding just 15 runs. Now that's a real nightmare for the batsmen!
