Nate Diaz, who is on top of the world right now after his big win against Conor McGregor at UFC 196 thinks that a rematch with Conor at UFC 200 would be funny.
Diaz earlier won his fight against Conor in the second round via submission and thinks that he should get a shot at the Lightweight championship next.
“These guys shoot on me after they start getting hit. They start shooting on me and getting tapped out," Diaz said.
Nate had some strong words about his fight with Conor as well.
“[The fight with] Conor -- that was on the way to being a knockout. He was getting handed some solid s**t. He got on me for the takedown because he was done," he added.
UFC is reportedly pushing for a rematch between these two at UFC 200, but Nate feels that he should face Rafael Dos Anjos for the title. Dos Anjos had earlier faced Nate in 2014 and won convincingly through a unanimous decision.
“I lost plenty of decisions and I’ve never got a rematch, to this day. So, that’s crazy. Conor got worked over and now they’re saying, ‘rematch,’ which makes sense. I understand that. I just think it’s funny because, it’s like, Jose Aldo didn’t get a rematch," Nate added.
Jose Aldo has been taunting Conor for quite some time now and he clearly wants a rematch with the champ after the forgettable 13-second knockout that happened in UFC 194.
“He’s a lion when he’s attacking but a kitten when he’s getting beat up. Everybody saw in his eyes that he’s a pussy that quits when he’s getting beat up. That’s what we saw. You will come back [to featherweight] with your tail between your legs after what happened -- after that embarrassment. You will come back. My hand almost caught you, but when it does for good, you will sleep.” Aldo recently said.
UFC is expected to announce the opponent of Conor McGregor for UFC 200 this week itself.
