IPL: Sunrisers bring in 'the Harry Potter of cricket' Daniel Vettori as their head coach
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD HAVE turned heads everywhere with their choice of their new head coach.
Daniel Vettori, the former New Zealand player, will helm their IPL 2024 campaign.
Vettori, known since his playing days as a calm, calculated cricketing mind, played 113 Test matches for the Kiwis. After he retired as a player, he became the head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore, for whom he had also played in the past.

He served as the RCB head coach for 4 years, following which he coached the Dublin Chiefs in Euro T20 Slam, before joining the Barbados Royals in Caribbean Premier League.
Apart from franchises, Vettori has also served the Bangladesh and Australia national teams as spin bowling coach.
As a coach, Vettori has proved to be versatile, with the ability to adjust well to any team's particular philosophy. It remains to be seen how much of an impact the soft-spoken coach will have in the Hyderabad dressing room.
