INDIA CONTINUED THEIR top form in the Asian Champions Trophy with a 5-0 win over Malaysia.
With this win India have risen to the top of the points table with 7 points from 3 matches; courtesy two wins and one draw.
India remained dominant in every quarter. Their breakthrough came 15 minutes in when Selvam Karthi scored the first goal.
Early in the third quarter, Hardik Singh converted a penalty corner to double the lead, and not long afterwards captain Harmanpreet also did the same.
In the final quarter, India notched up two more goals through Gurjant Singh and Jugraj Singh.
India now need just one more favourable result to ensure their qualification for the semi-finals; which they have the chance of earning against South Korea (7th August) and Pakistan (9th August).
