INDIAN SHUTTLERS PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen have both stromed into te semi-finals of the Canada Open Super 500 tournament.
Facing Fang Jie, an opponent who has beaten her thrice in the past, PV Sindhu showed remarkable calm as she dismantled her opponent's game in a straight 21-13, 21-7 match.
Lakshya Sen meanwhile, faced Julien Carraggi and won by 21-8, 17-21, 21-10. Apart from faltering in the second game, he maintained his grip throughout the match and left no doubt as to who was in charge.
Sen is going up against fourth seeded Kenta Nishimoto in the semi-final, while Sindhu, who recently turned 28, is facing a mammoth opponent in the semis: world number one player Akane Yamaguchi.
