RAJASTHAN UNITED HAVE picked up a major national silverware, winning the inaugural edition of the Baji Rout Cup.
Facing Churchill Brothers in the final, Rajasthan took a 2-0 lead early in the game. But eventually the seasoned Red Machines fought their way back into the game and made it 2-2 in the 90 minutes.
By tournament rules, the match went straight into the penalties and this is where RUFC goalkeepr Rafique Ali Sardar shone as the hero of the day, pulling off a near impossible save with his outstretched leg that ensured his team won the shootouts 2-4.
