The club's management is under considerable pressure to deliver results this season following their lacklustre performance in last season's I-League and their failure to capture the title in Calcutta Football League, Durand Cup and Sheikh Jamal International Club Cup earlier this season.
For Aizawl FC fans, it's a relief to see their club return to action, following weeks of rumours that they were pulling out of I-League. Those rumours, however, proved to be untrue when the club's official Twitter handle addressed it, asserting they were going to stay in the league.
To everyone who are still wondering - Is @AizawlFC playing the I-League? Well here's your answer - YES! We are Playing. 4 the ❤ of football, 4 the sake of all #indianfootball fans & to keep developing and promoting football in the country. @ILeagueOfficial See you in few days!
