Mizoram Premier League -- Aizawl FC score six past Ramhlun North, solidify top spot lead
AIZAWL FC CONTINUED THEIR commanding run in the Mizoram Premier League tonight with a 6-0 win over Ramhlun North FC.
The barrage of goals started early when Joe Zoherliana found the net just 12 minutes in, and it never stopped.
Isak Vanlalruatfela and Alfred Jaryan scored to make sure the People's Club went into the break with a 3-0 advantage. In the second half the one way traffic continued with Lalhmangaikhima and Lalremsanga getting their names on the scoresheet and Alfred Jaryan completing his brace.
This is Aizawl's biggest win of the season yet, and came as a bit of relief for fans who have recently been distressed by rumours of their club pulling out of the I-League. The Aizawl FC fans even hung a banner from the stands expressing their concern.

But their concerns were proven to be wrong when hours later the I-League fixtures were released, with Aizawl FC very much present in the list.
At this point, Aizawl FC have a solid lead at the top of the MPL points table, with 24 points from 10 matches. In the second place there's Mizoram Police FC who have 15 points from 9 games.
Electric Veng FC, who won the Independence Day Cup earlier this season, had a chance to overtake Mizoram Police in the league table but they squandered it when Chanmari FC held them to a draw earlier today.
Chanmari drew first blood just before half time through Lalremuata, while David Lalchhuanamwa found the euqalizer for EVFC in the second half. The 1-1 draw meant Electric Veng now have 15 points from 10 matches, same as Chanmari FC.
Chanmari and Electric Veng occupy the third and fourth places on the league table for now but they are in danger of being overtaken by Chhinga Veng FC, who are on 14 points from 9 matches, and eyeing a place in the top three with a win over bottom placed Chawnpui FC in their next match.
