MUMBAI CITY FC SUFFERED a third straight home loss tonight when Jamshedpur FC tipped them 1-2 in a crucial ISL 2017-18 encounter.
The visitors took the lead just before half-time when a scramble in front of the box led to Sanju Pradhan's attempted clearance hitting the inside top netting. The own goal left Mumbai 0-1 trailing at the break, and coach Alexandre Guimaraes made some aggressive substitutions in the second half that led to the creation of a number of chances before they finally got even late in the game with Everton Santos scoring for them. But just before the game got over, Bikash Jairu struck again for Jamshedpur FC getting them the victory.
This loss is a major setback for Mumbai City who are now left with just 17 points from 13 matches, far behind Jamshedpur FC (22 points from 14 matches) and FC Goa (19 points from 11 matches).
