It will be stupid of RCB if they don’t use RTM for Chahal, says Sehwag

INDIA GREAT Virender Sehwag reckoned that it will be mindless of Royal Challengers Bangalore if they let go of Yuzvendra Chahal in the upcoming IPL auction. 

Earlier this month, the Bengaluru franchise has surprised one and all by announcing the retention of Sarfaraz Khan over Chris Gayle, Yuzvendra Chahal and KL Rahul. Chahal had bowled economically and picked 13 wickets from 13 matches in IPL 10. And, Sehwag believes that the youngster should be the go-to man for Virat Kohli in the upcoming season. 

“I don’t know at what price he (Chahal) will go but RCB will definitely use RTM for him. If they don’t, then they will be stupid.”

Speaking about Gayle’s position in the team, Sehwag added,

“Gayle is now getting old. He is not the same Gayle that he once was. Last year, he played in the IPL and his performance wasn’t at that level that he was once renowned for. Teams take into account this factor when they enter the auction. Maybe RCB might go after Gayle again at the auction.”
