Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions Results: Azaitar And Loman crowned champions, Kooheji wins
BRAVE 9: THE KINGDOM OF CHAMPIONS IS IN THE BOOKS and it will be remembered for a lot of things. Billed as the biggest MMA show in the Middle East, the show lived up to all the hype and delivered some great fights for the combat sports fans.

New Champions Crowned
Ottman Azaitar and Alejandro Pato engaged in an all-out war in the main event. Both fighters were trading bombs throughout the Lightweight fight and it was a body kick in the third round by Azaitar that turned the fight in his favor. The kick left Pato grounded and Azaitar was soon announced the winner and Brave’s Inaugural Lightweight champion.
Stephen Loman was crowned the inaugural Brave Bantamweight Champion when he stopped Gurdarshan Mangat in the first round. Loman had some great footwork from the start itself and was troubling Gurdarshan with the same. Soon, the Philippines star connected and piled up the pressure, in turn, stopping the fight.
Kooheji reigns supreme
Hamza Kooheji and Mohammed Farhad had an all-out war as expected. The fight, which went the distance saw Kooheji capitalizing on his ground skills. Kooheji got multiple takedowns across the three rounds and almost choked out Farhad in the second round.
Farhad showed signs of a comeback in the third round when he tried to lock in a Guillotine and an arm-bar. However, Hamza survived the latter and was given a unanimous decision victory.
Al-Sewady impresses yet again, Weird climax for Fakhreddine vs. Habdi
The fight between Mohammad Fakhreddine and Tahar Hadbi ended in no contest after a nasty low blow which forced Fakhreddine out of the fight. He was stretchered out of the cage while Habdi seemed frustrated with the decision.
Al-Selawe got his redemption against Carl Booth as he picked up a unanimous decision victory.
Elsewhere, Al-Sewady impressed yet again when he stopped Erick Silva despite being on the back foot early in the fight. The Palestinian fighter improved his record to 8-1 with the win.
Hardeep Rai gets another stoppage, Ahmed Amir edges out Carlsson
Hardeep Rai secured another first round stoppage win at the event when he KO’d Sam Patterson. With the win, Rai goes to 2-0 in his professional career and is indeed a force to reckon with in Brave’s Lightweight division now.
Ahmed Amir and Erik Carlsson gave the fans a treat in the undercard and were engaged in a three round war. Both the fighters had their moments throughout the fight and it the end, it required a split decision to decide who the winner war. Pakistan’s Haider Farman impressed in the opening fight of the night and went home with a decision win over India’s Atif Mohammed.
Frans Mlambo, Aliskerov and Jalal Al Daaja got first round finishes in their respective fights when Charlie Leary dropped Scatizzi in the third round to get his win.
