Introduce DRS

Introduce DRS

Although we saw some high-octane action in IPL-10, the quality of umpiring, especially the Indian umpires was pretty ordinary. There have been several umpiring errors in as many games and some howlers even went drew hostile response from the batsman or bowler in play. While the Mumbai Indians suffered the most with five decisions going against them, the Kolkata Knight Riders benifited the most from umpiring blunders. While we understand that the umpires are always under pressure and sometimes succumb to excessive appealing, we feel it is time the BCCI starts eradicating human errors, or at least minimising them. We think it's time for the DRS to be introduced into the cash-rich tournament. Sure, the DRS can be inconclusive sometimes, but as we have seen in international cricket, it helps in reducing umpring errors. Fortunately, for the BCCI there is never going to be any concerns on its investment either. If DRS gets implemented from the next season (One review per innings), it will certainly go a long way in ensuring a more fair running of the proceedings.
