Bellator 179 Results: Rory MacDonald makes Impressive debut
RORY MacDonald made an impressive debut for Bellator MMA when he finished Paul Daley via submission in the second round at Bellator 179. MacDonald and Daley headlined the card which took place in London and the fight marked MacDonald’s first win since 2014.
McDonald had earlier suffered defeats to Robbie Lawler and Stephen Thompson at UFC before signing with Bellator.
After the fight, he issued warnings to Douglas Lima and Lorenz Larkin, who are set to fight for the title next.
Elsewhere, Linton Vassell secured a win over Liam McGeary in the co-main event. The win for Vassell came via submission in the third round. Cheick Kongo, Alex Lohore and Kevin Ferguson Jr. also secured wins at the event. Below are the results from the event.
